accept that we are still very wild
despite our libraries and schools
offices and sections
a creature that thrives on war
is confused and sickened in captivity
needs an adversary to excel
learns all sorts of pathologies when
no longer able to roam
accept this wildness
before writing the contract
to evolve better
for by now and at the very least
we must be sick of playing
the same damn songs
